The academic year is divided into trimesters. The program starts once a year in October although it is possible to join the study program every trimester (in January, April, July). Each quarter of a year, students complete two courses including two weekend in-class sessions and 10 weeks of online learning. In online learning you work at your own pace and time convenience. Weekend workshops are held on Saturdays and Sundays, you have the opportunity to meet your teacher and students personally. The first workshop takes place in the university building in Prague, the second workshop is online.
Evaluation consists of activities done during in-class lessons, online teaching and completed assignments. Throughout their enrolment at CityU students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA (grade point average) which is the equivalent of 85 %. This is also a necessary condition for obtaining a university diploma. Neither Final State Exams nor writing a Thesis are the part of the MBA studies.
