Scholarship program

The conditions for granting scholarships are settled in accordance with the Scholarship Regulations of the VSFS. Under the conditions and criteria of the Scholarship Regulations, students can qualify for merit and specific-purpose scholarships. Apart from these, within the frame of our scholarship program, we can offer extraordinary programs for children from children's homes and from alternative family care, and also for talented student candidates with physical disabilities.

Scholarship fund support

Scholarships for talented student candidates with physical disabilities

The University of Finance and Administrations offers a scholarship program for physically handicapped student candidates for Bachelor's and follow-up Master's degree study programs which covers partly or fully tuition fees during the whole study period at the VSFS. Students are selected by the scholarship committee in the selection procedure. The contribution from the scholarship program is linked to the proper fulfillment of the study duties according to the internal regulations of the school. The University of Finance and Administration provides technical and study support for physically handicapped students, enabling them to fully participate in the school life. The building in Estonská Street in Prague 10 and the Study Center in Most provide barrier-free entrance. Students with disabilities also have the opportunity to qualify for accommodation in a newly reconstructed students' home in Záběhlická Street in Prague 10.

Conditions required for enrolment into the scholarship selection procedure:

  • a filled-out application form
  • a short CV complemented by a motivation letter,
  • a certified copy of the school-leaving certificate,
  • a medical report, a photocopy of a  Disabled ID Card,
  • a test of study prerequisites according to the chosen study field.

Scholarships for children from children's homes and from alternative family care

The University of Finance and Administration in close collaboration with the City District of Prague 10 conjointly offer a Bachelor's scholarship program for children from children's homes and from alternative family care. This is an entirely unique project which has no parallel in the Czech education system. It enables the student candidates who lack the necessary social background and who are interested in studying at The University of Finance and Administration to obtain university education. The applicants interested in studying at The University of Finance and Administration and demonstrating the necessary knowledge will be enabled to increase the level of their education at a prestigious university and gain a very significant competitive advantage in the labor market and in their personal lives.

We offer the following:

  • The study at The University of Finance and Administration is fully paid from the grants of the City District of Prague 10.
  • The accommodation of students in the newly reconstructed students' home Záběhlická is provided and fully paid by the City District of Prague 10.
  • The City District of Prague 10 will provide students internships at their workplaces and offer the best students a job opportunity after successfully completing their studies.
  • Every student has the opportunity to qualify for merit, special-purpose, social and accommodation scholarships in accordance to internal regulations of The University of Finance and Administration.

The prerequisite for study is the completion of secondary education, passing the test of general academic prerequisites and motivational interviews. The study is in the full-time form. We will provide you with all the details of your study as well as practical information on accommodation and financing options either by phone (see the below mentioned contact information), or directly during the Doors Open Days organized at The University of Finance and Administration.

Other forms of scholarship programs

Merit Scholarship

Merit Scholarship is granted to students in the full-time form of study for their outstanding study results achieved in the previous academic year, respectively in the previous study year. The amount of the scholarship is determined according to the arithmetic mean of the marks from all the examinations and the classified credits compiled in accordance with the approved study plan and the organization of the respective academic year. The arithmetic average of grades for scholarship eligibility must be between 1.0 and 1.30.

Special-purpose Scholarship

Special-purpose Scholarship is granted to students, for example, for their outstanding creative activity contributing to the deepening of knowledge, especially participation in
a research project or activity, for a significant contribution to increasing the prestige promotion of the VŠFS, its successful representation and the like.

Social Scholarship (state-granted scholarship)

Social Scholarship can be granted to students who qualify for the benefit in accordance to the State Social Support Act. The scholarship is covered from the state budget.

Accommodation Scholarship (state-granted scholarship)

Accommodation Scholarship can be granted to students in the full-time form of study who do not have permanent residence in the region where they are studying. Further on, they have to comply with the conditions for granting accommodation scholarship in accordance to the Scholarship Regulations of The University of Finance and Administration. The scholarship is paid from the state budget. Each written request is decided by the Rector.
