Research and Development

Support of science/research activities at VŠFS is one of the priority tasks of this institution, which is intended to focus on increasing the quality of the institution, its renown and prestige. For this purpose the VŠFS Internal Grant Agency was established in late 2007/early 2008 (hereinafter IGA), which initializes and incentivizes science/research activity and gives space to academic staff for their own research projects. The project objectives are financed using VŠFS resources and implementers are provided with optimal conditions and foundations for their research and development. Such projects implemented as part of the IGA thus become a basis for possible implementation in grant activities outside the VŠFS, both at the national and international level.

Any internal academic staff member of VŠFS who submits a project proposal or case on the basis of a call for proposals may be a presenter of the project and requester of funds from IGA who is advanced by the judging committee. All rules for submitting internal projects are dictated by the Decision of the Rector No. 250/2019, which came into force on 20 September 2019.

A great advantage of the IGA activity and research performed from IGA funds is their publication output. During the implementation of the project, systematic monitoring takes place which is captured in the ongoing and closing monitoring reports, which inform on all activities, outcomes, and actions that took place and are planned.
