The Library Services Centre - Prof. Mojmír Helísek Specialised Library is a modern facility with high quality automated library system. It contains an extensive collection of books and periodicals and enables both searching and booking books up either directly from the library itself or remotely via the internet. The principles and standards of cataloguing meet international requirements.

The Library Services Centre of VSFS is fully available to students, academic staff and professional public.

With library fund containing almost 50 000 items, you can also find here foreign and czech periodicals, as well as over 24 000 ProQuest e-books and 165 EBSCO e-books.

The library also houses a computer study room with internet access in the library premises, databases retrieval (ProQuest Central, ASPI and Monitora) is available.

The library enables access to final theses of VSFS graduates.

All the library’s activities are governed by PDF The Library and Lending Regulations, 427 kB, that was enacted in November 2021.

The lending period is 14 days (if there are no reservations on the book, you can extend the lending period twice)
Limit is 5 books at once
Overdue books incur a fine of 10 CZK per day
There is no registration fee in the library for students

Access to on-line catalog

The online catalog serves as a list of books available to loan in the library. After logging in (available only after registering in the library in person) you can use all the catalog functions (reservations, extending loan period or accessing loan history).

The titles listed in the catalog are not available to access online, unless specified as electronic resource.

Automated legal system with czech law with major Codes in English.

Národní digitální knihovna - Díla nedostupná na trhu (DNNT)

"National digital library - Works no longer available on the market" offers documents published in CZ (books up until 2001, periodicals up until 2011). In the database you can find documents under the copyright law (70 years from the death of the author has not yet passed) that are no longer available on the market, as well as "free documents" that are no longer under the copyright law.
