ERASMUS+ INTERNSHIP                                                                APPLICATION FORM

Under the Erasmus+ program, students can participate in internships abroad with financial support from the European Union.

Students are supposed to arrange practical internships themselves. The workload should be related to the field of study at VŠFS, and its time commitment should correspond to full-time employment (approximately 30-40 hours per week). During the internship, you must be physically present abroad. Therefore, it is not possible to apply for a grant if the work is done online.

This opportunity is also open to recent graduates. The internship must be completed within one year of completing studies, including the duration of the internship. The necessary documents must be signed during the student's enrollment at the university; at the time of document signing, the applicant must still have student status.

Internships may last from 2 to 12 months. However, the total duration of Erasmus+ grants (including study stays) in the same degree level cannot exceed 12 months. Due to academic obligations, it is recommended to go for a practical internship during the summer vacation period.

Who can participate?

Students of both full-time and combined forms of study. There are no age restrictions. Students must find a work internship and go through a selection process

Finding an internship - The selection of a foreign internship is entirely up to the student. Internship offers can be found, for example, on the website https://erasmusintern.org/, where you can find a large number of offers across all fields. Czech Centers abroad also often seek interns: https://czechcentres.gov.cz/o-nas/kariera. You can also find interesting offers on the European Student Placement Agency website - https://www.espauk.com/.

Monthly scholarships

The costs associated with living abroad can be covered by a scholarship, the amount of which is determined taking into account the cost of living in individual countries:

Group 1: €750/month Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, France, Italy, Cyprus, Malta, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Greece, Spain.

Group 2: €630/month Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey.

The scholarship amount is in euros per month. The final amount is then calculated based on the total number of days spent abroad (proportional part of the month = proportional part of the scholarship).

Necessary steps before traveling abroad:

Acceptance Letter - The institution where you will be doing the internship will issue you an acceptance letter, which must include the start and end dates of the internship, job description, and contact person at the institution. Please send the confirmation to erasmus@vsfs.cz.

Learning Agreement for Traineeship - You will receive a contract from the international office that needs to be filled out. It will be an agreement between you, VŠFS, and the chosen institution.

Grant Agreement - It is concluded between VŠFS and the student and includes the exact dates of the stay and the amount of the grant. Before signing the participant agreement, you need to have a euro account set up, where the grant will be paid.

Online Linguistic Support - You will receive a link via email for the OLS language test, which needs to be completed.

Residence Permit - Students planning to travel to countries such as Turkey or England should find out before departure whether they will need a residence permit.

Health Insurance - Before departure, it is necessary to arrange health insurance for the trip abroad. We also recommend getting liability insurance. The sooner you submit all the documents, the sooner you can sign the grant agreement. The scholarship is paid no later than 30 days after signing the contract.
