Erasmus Plus Policy Statement
(2014 – 2020)

For the University of Finance and Administration is an international cooperation with EU and non-EU countries very important.

The main cooperation with countries in the EU and participating countries is based on the Erasmus Plus Programme but further cooperation is based on bilateral agreements with non-European countries as well. In the frame of exchange programs is the selection of relevant partner university from the perspective of the similarity of the programme key element. Students can choose from offered similar courses in their field of study so as the stay is beneficial for the student personal development and in the specific field of study (business, marketing, public administration...).

We would like to focus on the development of international cooperation in the fields of study where students currently have limited choice of partner institutions.

Geographically, we focus on partners so as to equally cover the states of Europe and could thus provide students with a wide choice of destinations and their location within the Erasmus Plus programme. Then we focus on the country and according to student demand. In this case, first of all we focus on the countries where English is the mother tongue - the United States, United Kingdom, Canada.

Then we focus on cooperation in Asia - especially China, India and Kazakhstan.

Such cooperation arise mainly based on communication and partnership in the competition "Global Management Challenge", where is VSFS main organizer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. And they are potential partners for participation in other short-term and long-term projects.

International cooperation at VSFS can be divided into four main groups, first of all focused on students, teaching staff, the development of the university and its fields of study and the quality of teaching.

1. The accredited degree courses in Czech and English language programmes and BSBA, MBA and MPA, the instruction in the English language,

Main target is to recruit students into different accredited fields of study and in Czech or English and "double degree or "joint degree" programmes.

2. Long-term study programmes

They are basically focused on one or two semester stay in the frame of the exchange programmes. These exchanges are mainly in the frame of the Erasmus Plus programme.

Further cooperation is mainly based on VSFS bilateral agreements between partners and from Georgia, Canada and Mexico.

3. Short-term study programmes

This is the organization of summer schools and intensive training programmes that can VSFS prepare based on the requirements of international partners.

One of the examples of the cooperation is summer school for partners from Mexico focused on project management for one group and focused on European Studies for the second group. A further "Winter" and "Spring" School for partners from Kazakhstan focused on economics or IT.

4. Projects

Projects such as cooperation with foreign universities are VSFS another key activity.

By cooperation on projects COEUR, Erasmus IP VSFS develops further international cooperation with foreign universities and primarily makes contact with the best students who have the potential to participate in other international projects and thus represent the VSFS.

For the University of Finance and Administration, as for a private non-profit organization, is the involvement into the Erasmus Plus programme key activity and it is important for the competition with private and state institutions.

International cooperation is increasing not only at the level of technical equipment of VSFS. The development of multimedia and conference centre was one of the instruments how to compete in the international environment.

But cooperation with international partners moving forward VSFS primarily at the academic level, in recent years educational programmes in Czech and English has been developed and expanded.

And if we had the opportunity to continue with cooperation at the international level within the Erasmus Plus programme, then it would also expand the scope VSFS regard on the demand of existing and potential international partners.

VSFS is holder of DS Label for the years 2011-2014 and of the ECTS Label.
