Library facilities

The Library Services Centre of VSFS is a modern facility with high quality automated library system. It contains an extensive collection of books and periodicals and enables both searching and booking books up either directly from the library itself or remotely via the internet. The principles and standards of cataloguing meet international requirements.

The Library Services Centre of VSFS is fully available to both students and academic staff. The library contains 18 300 items (plus a further 4 700 at Kladno and 6 700 at Most). In addition, there are foreign and Czech periodicals as well as theses prepared as part of the bachelor and master degrees.

The library also houses a computer study room with internet access, databases retrieval (ABI/Inform Global, ASPI and Newton MediaSearch) is available.

All the library’s activities are governed by the Library and lending regulations that was enacted in 2010.

On-line catalogue for VSFS students.

The lending period for those books that can be borrowed is 14 days. Overdue books incur a fine of 10 crowns per day. There is no registration fee in the library.
