He graduated in Humanities from the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University, and then in General Anthropology - Integral Study of Man from the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University. He completed his doctoral studies in sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. He is an associate professor in the field of mass media studies. He holds the position of Vice-Rector for Research and Development at the University of Finance and Administration. His scientific research results make him one of the best academics at the university. In his work, he focuses on the sociology of marketing communication, examining its social consequences with a focus on human identity, lifestyle, consumer behavior and decision-making. He also deals with the issue of consumer culture and human happiness in a society of material well-being.
