MEASURES TAKEN IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Dear students, 

we are writing to assure you that the University of Finance and Administration, a.s. is ready to resolve any situation associated with the fact that some students might not be allowed to arrive in the Czech Republic as a result of measures taken by countries against the COVID-19 pandemic in the academic year 2020/2021. This means that they will not be able to attend in-class lectures which start in October 2020. We have prepared several measures for each year of study in both Bachelor and Master study programs. We were guided by our own experience with flawless organization of teaching in the summer semester of the academic year 2019/2020, as well as good examples from practice of other universities. We would like to briefly acquaint you with following measures: 

Study programs in the English language
1st year of Bachelor study

  • Enrolment in the study program – we are ready to be as flexible as possible from the technical point of view as well as in terms of deadlines; we will take into account the individual situation of each applicant.
  • Lectures of all subjects will be available during standard scheduled in-class lectures at school and, in addition, a live stream will be available online. The recording will be uploaded to the VŠFS Information System for your immediate or subsequent viewing.
  • Both options of face-to-face or online consultations are possible.
  • Exam preparation courses for individual subjects will be organized
  • Exams will be held both in-person and online
  • Examination period will be extended so that students will have an opportunity to take exams throughout the whole academic year

2nd year of Bachelor study and 1st year of Master study

  • Enrolment in the study program (1st year of Master study) – we are ready to be as flexible as possible from the technical point of view as well as in terms of deadlines; we will take into account the individual situation of each applicant. 
  • Enrollment in higher years of study will take place as usual via the VŠFS Information System
  • Lectures of all key subjects will be available during standard scheduled in-class lectures at school and, in addition, a live stream will be available online. The recording will be uploaded to the VŠFS Information System for your immediate or subsequent viewing.
  • Both options of face-to-face or online consultations are possible.
  • Exam preparation courses for individual subjects will be organized
  • Exams will be held both in-person and online
  • Examination period will be extended so that students will have an opportunity to take exams throughout the whole academic year
  • Selection both of the topic and the supervisor of the thesis will be possible online via the VŠFS Information System
  • Consultations for students regarding writing their thesis will be possible online

3rd year of Bachelor study and 2nd year of Master study

  • Enrolment in higher years of study will take place as usual via the VŠFS Information System
  • Lectures of all key subjects will be available during standard scheduled in-class lectures at school and, in addition, a live stream will be available online. The recording will be uploaded to the VŠFS Information System for your immediate or subsequent viewing.
  • Both options of face-to-face or online consultations are possible.
  • Exam preparation courses for individual subjects will be organized
  • Exams will be held both in-person and online
  • Examination period will be extended so that students will have an opportunity to take exams throughout the whole academic year
  • Students will be allowed to complete and submit their thesis online as well as all necessary consultations that can also be done online.
  • State Final Examinations from Economics will take place in January, June and August. State Final Examinations from Profile Courses will take place in June and August. Also, we are ready to take appropriate measures during the SFE even in case of changing actual conditions and legislation in order to enable participation to all students in the SFE who meet the conditions and will be interested in participating.
