STAFF TEACHING WEEK

01.02.2018

One of the priorities of the long-term plan of the University of Finance and Administration is internationalization - international cooperation, the exchange of leading academics and their involvement in the European educational area as experienced teachers.

The Department of Business Administration in cooperation with the Foreign Department and the University Research Center organized the STAFF TEACHING WEEK on 4 - 6 December 2017. Representatives of the universities from Poland, Germany, Iceland, Spain, Greece, Latvia and Bulgaria were teaching in the lessons of Marketing, Management, Economics, Business Finance, English and they were also informally discussing interesting issues at workshops.

The core topics of the workshops were family business, succession strategy management and marketing vitality of family businesses. Participants shared their experience and knowledge from the innovations in the educational programs of individual schools focused on managing SMEs. Tuesday afternoon was devoted to discussing the benefits and risks of adopting euro and the financial management of companies. Wednesday meeting was considered as beneficial, too, because of the fact that the possibilities of mutual cooperation in the field of scientific research outputs and the submission of joint research projects were found.

How did the participants evaluate this meeting? There is an example: „To teach in one of your Master classes was a nice experience. In addition, I enjoyed the opportunity to grow my network. Meeting with colleagues was an enrichment. The organization was excellent. Besides the program at the university, I enjoyed the possibility to see Prague. Special thanks you to Emil who gave me the chance to work with his master students. I also want to thank Martina and her team for the wonderful organization. Furthermore, I would like to thank Kristyna, Ricardo and Raffaele for their friendly and professional support.“  Juergen Bleicher, University of Cooperative Education – DHBW, Germany
