Grant agency of the Czech Republic (GA ČR) has accepted for financing a project of the Institute of Finance and Administration „New Resources of System Risks on Financial Markets“, co-applicant of the project is the University of Economics. Prof. Jan Frait is the project researcher, doc. Jarmila Radová is the co-researcher.
Project will be focused on three areas of risk:
1) Microfinancial dynamics and system risk:
• regulation of financial markets from the international and macroeconomic point of view
• risks connected with bonds and changes in yield curves in periods of low interest rates
2) International financial markets and risk of currency crisis:
• risk of currency crises in relation to European integration and possible preventive measures
3) Cyber risk
• financial and technical aspects, cyber risk modeling in banking
• economic and legal aspects of cyber risk
• the risk of rising influence of cryptocurrencies
The period of research is three years (2016-2018).
Acquiring the GA ČR support can be considered as a successful impetus for advancing the research and development at our university.
